Swelkar

The Swelkar region includes the Swelkar Valley and the Revitsar Mountains. Notable towns include the Swelkar capital, Rakolan, as well as Zellini and Onreggie. Topi Village is the largest settlement within the Revitsar mountains.

Swelkar Valley

Gib of the Crescent Circle

Gib is an acolyte for the God of Night and a member of the Crescent Circle, a group of devotees who travel throughout Jinivar to bring comfort to those who struggle in the night and to share the tales of the moon. Gib is assigned to Swelkar Valley where he is overwhelmed by the fervor with which the locals celebrate their gods. His Twilight Tales sessions are mobbed and he has a long waitlist of those requesting he visit them for night counseling. Gib has sent a message to the First Temple of the Night in the Plackadill Mountains requesting reinforcements, but so far has not heard back.

Claudia

Meet Claudia of Swelkar Valley. Claudia lives on a farm. She loves her animals and garden. It's the only life she's ever known. She has a donkey named Mavi and a goat named Zep. She is content but in the quiet hours of the evening she wonders, could there be something else out there for her? (NP)

Temple of the All-Seeing

If you were to travel North along the coast from Rakolan, you would encounter this unusual structure built as a temple and monastery to the All-Seeing God. Visitors must make a challenging journey to seek out the wisdom of the All-Seeing’s acolytes. Those who do arrive are blindfolded at the gate and only given their sight back upon exiting.

Abandoned (?) Home

In the outskirts of Zellini Town, a solitary house keeps watch over the hillside. It’s empty now, but not quite abandoned, as it is rumored that it is used not just by travelers and wildlife but is also the home of a Tengili-Amano. Tengili-Amano are shy and reclusive but there have been enough sightings to give credence to the tale.

Amoni Islandi

Amoni was raised by followers of the God of All Beasts but found her own calling in the temple of the Goddess of Small Creatures. After years of wandering, Amoni settled into Onreggie Town in Swelkar Valley. Though no longer a member of any temple, her connection to small creatures remains strong. Her skill with caring for and communicating with small creatures is well known and townsfolk bring her all manner of creatures to tend to, from fish to chickens, to rodents, and on one notable occasion, a beetle.

Revitsar Mountains

Trivi Tree

Trivi is the name given to an ancient tree that looks down on Topi Village from a ledge up on the mountainside. The tree has become part of the celebrations and rituals of various religious and secular groups locally and across the Swelkar Valley. The All-Seeing claim that on starry nights the tree can point the way to the future while the devotees of the God of Honest Undertakings use the tree as a symbol of determination and truth.

Home of Mellov and Triniva

Hidden in the Revitsar Mountains, just outside of Topi Village, is the home of the wizarding couple, Mellov and Triniva. The villagers are protective of their odd neighbors and are selective in assisting any strangers seeking them out. Mellov and Triniva share a fascination with experimentation and the acquisition of knowledge more than the practical applications of their craft, but do use their spells when called on for the good of the village.

Inka and Rin

Inka and her dog, Rin, live near Topi Village in Swelkar Valley. Topi is off the beaten track, and Inka's house is even further secluded, which is the way she likes it. After spending her childhood as a servant in the temple to the God of Honest Undertakings in Rikolan, Inka wants nothing more than to be away from the judgements of Gods and humankind alike, even if she does keep a small shrine to her God and continues the practice of completing a daily "honest undertaking."
