Skytar Mountains

Logan Tern

Logan works as a clockmaker in Silver City. Until recently, his daily routine was as predictable as the ticking of his clocks. With the death of his father though, everything has changed. His ailing mother and her nurse have come to live with him. His small house feels crowded now, and Logan has added an evening walk to his routine. On one of these walks he discovered a quiet tavern that serves hot, sweet beverages, and at this tavern he met a woman named Arla and his world is now forever changed.

Halva and Gus

Halva is an optimist. When people complain about the cold, dark months in Silver City, she reminds them of the beauty of the mountains and the unique splendor of their home. She has a quote or affirmation ready for every situation. This was a constant irritant to her brother who tried to put a wrinkle in her good humor by gifting her the grouchiest, most intractable cat in Silver City. But if Halva ever noticed Gus' foul moods, she never showed it. Now Gus is a completely devoted companion.

Alan Fitzroy

Alan lives in Gensipolis on the shores of Lake Bliss. He has a busy life. He studies, works in his parents' hardware store, and he makes plans. Not only does he make plans, but he carries them out. After carrying out a spectacular birthday extravaganza for a cousin, his skills have been noticed, and now he's not only planning his own activities, he's planning a camping trip for some neighbors, a field day for the school children, and a holiday celebration for his neighborhood.

Londra

Meet Londra of Akorin Mountain. Londra rarely has visitors and never leaves her mountain slope. She likes to take long walks, stopping to collect bits of stone or other fragments. She uses these items to assemble complex patterns on the walls of her home. The views of the valley from her porch are breathtaking.

Foagley (rare)

Size: Up to 2' long
Color: Purples and blues
Diet: Small birds and rodents
Sounds: "aaawm" "wom" and growls when angered
Lifespan: Up to 15 years

Foagleys have mostly been domesticated in the Skytar mountains and kept as pets or mousers. Wild Foagleys can still be found at higher elevations where they make their homes in small rocky caves.

Allendra

Size: 18–24" tall
Uses: Different parts of this potent plant have unique uses including inducing sleep, counteracting venomous spider and snake bites, and curing warts. Allendra is notoriously difficult to cultivate, and the stems cause painful rashes if not handled correctly.
Noted: Skilled allendra gatherers can make a good living, but not an easy one—the mountains and the flowers can both be brutal.
