Masconia, Northeast Side

Although the Masconian Empire is divided into a web of complicated towns and neighborhoods, to outsiders it is all the urban warren of Masconia. Most Masconian neighborhoods are densely populated with their signature 4-story apartment homes side-by-side. To the locals though, each neighborhood is dramatically distinct. The northeast side is a bleak area distinguishable mostly by what isn’t there.

Chipnob Neighborhood

On the northern fringes of the Masconian Empire, the colorful neighborhood of Chipnob is the home to a ragtag group of musicians who seek out old songs and bring them back into circulation. Recently, they’ve come into scrutiny for a ballad with roots in the Zies region that was seen by some as poking a bit too much fun at the emperor. The musicians have since been more circumspect in their selections, or perhaps just more discreet.

Chipnob Neighborhood

Jinsede lives in the colorful Chipnob neighborhood in the Masconian Empire. To make ends meet, she has become a woman of all work, making repairs of all kinds, sweeping streets, making deliveries, and any other work she can get. Recently, she made a delivery to a young man by the name of Smikos, and she was instantly smitten. While trying to think of an excuse to see him again, she was surprised when he approached her with an invitation to lunch.

Farah's Foly ("Follies")

Habitat: Blaskie Woods
Size: vines; flowers are about 2" wide
Noted: This plant is named for the fabled Princess Farah, said to have fled into the woods only to die there. Variations of the tale change the reasons for her flight from the Empire, depending on the political views of the storyteller. Even the symbolism of the flower changes. Was the princess foolish to flee? Or were her failures in the forest her folly
