Iranca Plateau

Tellerd & Pollinx

Tellerds and pollinx live in the wilds of Iranca, keeping away from any settlements. The gentle flying pollinx is considered good luck to Irancans who would like to keep them in captivity to display as status symbols. But these attempts always fail, as the pollinx don't survive. On the other hand, the plodding tellerd is often used as a synonym for slow-witted, though the creature does not deserve this. Although it may be slow moving, it is not lacking in intelligence.

Brinn Dulock

Brinn has lived in Sunto Village in Iranca since she was born. When a fire burned down her family's home, her parents and siblings moved to Komoko City, hoping to improve their lives. But Brinn stayed behind with her grandparents, caring for their flock of sheep. Recently, Brinn has acquired two sheepdog puppies, and she is training them to help her out. She's named them Biff and Bopp and they have brought her great joy. Although she is busy and works hard, she always saves time for all that she loves.

Jinsto Jalmeri

Jinsto of Iranca Caves is fascinated by history, especially tales of discovery. He's read all the history books he can get his hands on but isn't satisfied that the accounts are accurate or comprehensive enough. It frustrates him that he may never know who found certain places first, and that their stories are lost. He'd like his own name to go down in history as an explorer who discovered a whole new cave system. In his fantasy, the caves he discovers contain multiple previously unknown species.

Mangolia

Meet Mangolia of the Iranca Plateau. Mangolia is a very social person. She loves going out with her friends more than anything. Her life seems perfect but she always wants more. Perfect isn't enough for her. Perhaps she needs a loved one, a pet, art, or maybe she needs to move away from what she knows. (NP)

Diane

Meet Diane of Komoko City. Diane lives in a large house with her husband and three kids. Diane is a kindergarten teacher. She loves her students and thinks about them a lot. In the evening she likes to relax with her cat, Sir Snugglekis. She has great faith in her students and believes they will have bright futures. (NP)

Komoko City's Institute of Learning

Komoko City would like to be known as the home of a thriving art scene and forward-thinking engineering. This glamorous orange glass edifice can be found at their renowned institute of learning. With the recent movement of many idealists out to the Cratic Desert to build the “city of wonders” (Cerapion City) Komoko City has struggled to retain their most talented citizens.

Carbalier (rare)

Size: 4' tall, 4' wide and up to 1,000 lbs
Color: Purple and black
Diet: Grasses and riverbed plants
Sounds: Loud terrifying bellow
Lifespan: 20-30 years

Carbalier's aggressive territorial behavior and their low reproduction rates has kept the population down. They are belligerent and unpredictable and best avoided.

Tin-Tan Tree

Size: up to 40' tall
Noted: The tin-tan tree only flowers briefly in the cooler winter months. During this time, tourists will come visit the best-known groves and individual trees. Some of the more ancient and most spectacular specimens are kept under guard or on walled estates. The tin-tan tree appears in Irancan lore as both a symbol for good fortune and a warning that wealth, beauty, and prosperity may be fleeting.
